Sally Richmond

In November 2010 Sally became Executive Director of an organisation called Logifem, a Christian Shelter for women, based in Montreal.

Logifem is an organisation that was set up by Christians 23 years ago who were concerned about the lack of provision for homeless women in Montreal.

The mission of the organisation is to be a transforming force in the lives of women in difficulty.

Logifem run three streams of support:
1. Crisis accommodation in a shelter - this is for women who need somewhere to stay for one or two nights. The admission happens quickly and the accommodation is free
2. Accommodation for up to a year in a shelter - this is for women who have been through a difficult time and who want space, safety and support to move forwards.
3. Supervised apartments. The women can stay in these apartments for up to five years, by which point they should be ready to move into their own place.

In her 'spare' time Sally is also studying for an MBA and is a volunteer for an organisation trying to combat people trafficking.
